Tourism Minister Ersoy Announced
Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Ersoy participated in Bloomberg HT’s live broadcast on February 1, 2024 and shared Turkey’s success and future goals in the tourism sector. Ersoy stated that Turkey is among the top 5 in the world tourism rankings and aims to be among the top 3 by 2028. In the program hosted by Bloomberg HT General Manager Ali Can Türkoğlu, Minister Ersoy gave information on topics such as tourism data, the future of the sector, archaeological studies, measures taken against historical artifact smuggling, public beaches and Cultural Road Festivals.
New Regulations for Travel Agencies and the Future of Law No. 1618
It was emphasized that there is no intention to close travel agencies. The new draft law aims to regulate travel agencies in accordance with world standards.

It was stated that the aim is to establish new units according to their areas of specialization. It was emphasized that this approach would facilitate the transition to a pluralistic management approach in the sector.
Digital Transformation and Contemporary Regulations
It was stated that the use of digital media should be increased and physical document inspections of travel vehicles are outdated. It was emphasized that digital transformation will bring innovation and development to the sector.
