Warning from Turkish Airlines to Passengers Who Do Not Comply with Flight Rules
While Turkish Airlines (THY) called on its passengers to pay attention to flight safety and order, it announced that 200 passengers who violated the rules were banned from flights in 2023. These passengers may also face administrative fines exceeding 10 thousand TL by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (SHGM), which is considered as an indicator of the importance given to flight safety.
Administrative Penalties to be Applied to Passengers Who Do Not Comply with the Rules
THY General Manager Bilal Ekşi made his statements on the subject on his social media account and called on passengers to comply with flight rules. In Ekşi’s message, “Neither you nor we should be sad. “In 2023, we had to ban 200 passengers who did not comply with the rules from flying,” the statement said.
Administrative Fines Determined by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation
In addition, Ekşi provided a link to the notification regarding the re-evaluation of administrative fines included in the Regulation on Administrative Fines to be Imposed by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, published in the Official Gazette, and ensured that passengers were informed about the information on this subject.
