The Government’s Approach to Drafting Laws
CHP Mersin Deputy Gülcan Kış criticized the draft law containing regulations regarding tourist guides and travel agencies at the commission meeting held in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Winter stated that the government eliminated the relevant people and did not listen to them while preparing the law.
Concerns of Interested Persons
Winter stated that there were significant reservations and objections to the bill in the meetings with the representatives of the tourist guides. Winter said that tourist guides are concerned that the profession will be harmed, and emphasized that the bill could bring more harm than good to the sector.
