Amendment to the Regulation on the Regulation of Renting Activities of Houses for Tourism Purposes

Change in the Airbnb Regulation: An amendment has been made to the “Regulation on the Regulation of Rental of Housing Activities for Tourism Purposes”, which is called the “Airbnb Regulation” throughout the sector and among the public. Change in the Airbnb Regulation: A temporary article has been added to the “Regulation on the Regulation of Renting Activities of Residences for Tourism Purposes” published in the Official Gazette dated 28/12/2023 and numbered 32413.

A PERMIT CERTIFICATE WILL BE ISSUED TO BE VALID UNTIL 31/12/2024

The temporary article added to the regulation is as follows:

Existing detached houses

PROVISIONAL ARTICLE 2- (1) For detached houses that were subject to rental activities for tourism purposes on the date of entry into force of the law, if the application is made with a title deed that does not contain the word “residential”, the title deed will be evaluated together with the other information and documents requested in Article 5 upon the written declaration that there is a residence on the real estate. For applications within this scope, a permit will be issued to be valid until 31/12/2024.”

REGULATION ON AMENDMENTS TO THE REGULATION ON REGULATION OF RENTAL ACTIVITIES OF RESIDENCES FOR TOURISM PURPOSES

ARTICLE 1-The following temporary article has been added to the Regulation on the Regulation of Renting Activities of Residences for Tourism Purposes published in the Official Gazette dated 28/12/2023 and numbered 32413.”

Existing detached houses

PROVISIONAL ARTICLE 2- (1) For detached houses that were subject to rental activities for tourism purposes on the date of entry into force of the law, if the application is made with a title deed that does not contain the word “residence”, the title deed is taken into consideration together with the other information and documents requested in Article 5 upon the written declaration that there is a residence on the real estate. For applications within this scope, a permit will be issued to be valid until 31/12/2024.”

ARTICLE 2-This Regulation shall enter into force on the date of its publication. ARTICLE 3-The provisions of this Regulation shall be enforced by the Minister of Culture and Tourism.
