The results of the Youth Index G-250, which determines the brands that have the most place in the minds of the young population, have been announced. Here are the brands that young people like most
Brands that have a place in the minds of the young population were determined by the Youth Index G-250, which was carried out in cooperation with Istanbul Kent University and Reputation Academy.
The research, conducted between February 5 and February 29, 2024, reveals the brand preferences of young people aged 18-24 in Turkey.
More than 4,800 young people were interviewed in the research conducted using the computer-assisted telephone search (CATI) method under the reporting of Bursa Technical University.
In the G-250 Index, which was held for the fourth time this year, the 250 brands that young people most respected, trusted and preferred were listed.
While more than 50 different sectors were included in the index last year, this year’s study examined approximately 40 sectors and measured the perceived values of brands in the minds of young people.
Results of G-250 research; It showed that brands that reach young people through social media platforms and all other digital communication channels, keep up with technology, offer price-performance products and appeal to current tastes create a greater perception of trust in the 18 – 24 age group.
According to the research results published on the website of the Turkish Reputation Academy, when the sector distribution of the top 10 brands was examined, it was seen that products such as clothing, food and shopping platforms were dominant.
YOUNG PEOPLE TRUST BRANDS THAT USE TECHNOLOGY WELL
Speaking about the research, in which more than 4 thousand 800 young people between the ages of 18 and 24 were interviewed between 5 February and 29 February 2024 in 26 regions and 72 provinces, which TÜİK accepted as the “Turkey sample”, TIA Vice President Özüm Acar said:
* We are happy to conduct the Youth Index Survey for the fourth time this year. In this research, which we announced in cooperation with Istanbul Kent University, we examined the preferences of young people, defined as Generation Z, between the ages of 18-24, who constitute a significant part of the country’s population, in 40 different sectors.
* Generation Z is now the main target of brands. Brands also prepare their communication and marketing activities according to the tastes and preferences of the young generation. The results of our research also reveal this. G-250 shows us that young people prefer brands that they feel close to and that are popular in their environment.
* In addition, brands where digitality is at the forefront, actively use social media and are sensitive to social issues are also included in the ranking. In our Youth Index research, we see that price performance products are ranked higher and economic concerns are also reflected in brand preferences. Brands Most Liked by Young People
