Taxi decision from Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Transportation Coordination Center UKOME
At the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME) meeting, it was decided that 1038 of the 1755 vehicles converted from minibuses and taxi minibuses to 8+1 taxis would be converted into normal taxis.
UKOME Meeting was held at Çırpıcı Social Facilities under the chairmanship of IMM Deputy Secretary General Gürkan Akgün.
At the meeting, the agenda item proposing changes to the conversion commitment article of 1755 vehicles converted from taxi minibuses and minibuses to 8+1 taxis was discussed. While 1038 out of 1755 vehicles were given the right to switch to 4+1, which is a normal taxi, it was proposed that 717 vehicles continue to operate as 8+1. The proposal was accepted by majority vote.
