ANKARA (AA) – Revenue Administration (GİB) reported that 36 thousand 806 taxpayers who owe more than 5 million liras of tax to the state have 914.9 billion liras of unpaid taxes and penalties.
The Revenue Administration announced the lists of taxpayers with tax and penalty debts exceeding 5 million liras and assessments that were finalized between June 1, 2023 and May 31, 2024 and whose total amounts exceeded 5 million liras.
Accordingly, finalized taxes and penalties within the scope of the Tax Procedure Law and overdue but unpaid taxes and penalties are announced.
Taxes and penalties that have been finalized upon completion, ex officio or due to assessments made by the administration and whose total amount is 5 million lira and above, and taxes and penalties that are due as of December 31, 2023 but have not been paid as of September 30 and whose amount exceeds 5 million lira, were announced in two separate lists.
According to the list of debtors, the number of individuals and organizations that owe more than 5 million liras in tax to the state reached 36 thousand 806. 7 thousand 948 of these taxpayers were real persons and 28 thousand 858 were legal entities. While 4 thousand 807 of the taxpayers were active taxpayers, they constituted 13.1 percent of the total number of taxpayers. The number of abandoned taxpayers was recorded as 31 thousand 999.
The total amount of overdue but unpaid taxes and penalties was announced as 914.9 billion lira. While the debt amount of active taxpayers was 113.8 billion lira, their ratio in debt was determined as 12.4 percent. It was determined that the debt amount of abandoned taxpayers was 801.1 billion lira.
Turktab Tütün Mamülleri Pazarlama ve Dağıtım AŞ, registered to the Halkalı Tax Office, was at the top of the list of debtors with 3 billion 23 million 325 thousand liras. He founded this company as International Fuel Distribution Ltd. with 2 billion 449 million 525 thousand liras. While there were 2 thousand 464 taxpayers in this list, 419 of them were real persons and 2 thousand 45 were legal entities. While 299 of these taxpayers were active, they constituted 12.1 percent of the number of taxpayers. The number of abandoned taxpayers was recorded as 2 thousand 165.
It was determined that the total of finalized taxes and penalties of these taxpayers was 53.1 billion lira. It was noted that 6.3 billion lira of this amount belonged to active taxpayers.
In the list, Yurtpet Akar Yakıt LPG Dağıtım Paz., registered to Çamlıca Specialized Tax Office. Singing. and Tic. Ltd. Şti ranked first with 1 billion 265 million 539 thousand liras.
