Answering questions from AA correspondent Narin stated that Turkish tourism showed a good performance in 2024.

Stating that Turkey’s target of reaching 60 million tourists is achievable, Narin said, “60 billion dollars may remain a little lower. “Although the number of tourists from Russia has decreased in the last 2-3 years, we have a better performance in terms of income in October and November.” he said.

Touching on different tourism categories, Narin said that Turkey has achieved a good growth in the field of health tourism.

People with individual health needs are showing interest here due to the health infrastructure in Turkey and the correct marketing in this context is going very well. However, we need to make arrangements for the third-year groups in Europe to spend a certain period of the winter here together with the retirement funds there. There are 25 thousand facilities and 11 thousand travel agencies in Turkey. If you go to the right travel agency, you can get very good information. Even if you are going to decide and make a reservation digitally, it is very valuable to get information from someone working in a travel agency. Even the people we call ‘explorers’ definitely make their programs through an agency. “Agencies should never be thought of as completely out of action.”
