Erdoğan: Travel Times Are Getting Shorter

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made important statements about the major infrastructure projects carried out recently.

Stating that the Mediterranean Coastal Road and Çeşmeli-Kızkalesi Highway projects are progressing rapidly, Erdoğan stated that with the completion of these projects, the travel time between Antalya and Mersin will be significantly shortened. Emphasizing that the travel time from 10 hours will be reduced to 7 hours with the work carried out, the President announced that the 2.5-hour travel in the Çeşmeli-Kızkalesi region will be reduced to only 18 minutes. He also added that the Mersin-Adana-Osmaniye-Gaziantep High Speed Train Project has been launched and the travel time on this route will decrease from 6.5 hours to 2 hours 15 minutes. Erdoğan stated that he foresees that tourism and transportation in the region will be further revitalized with the opening of Çukurova International Airport.

MERSİN (AA) – President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, “The developments that started with our People’s Alliance partner Mr. Bahçeli bringing the issue to the agenda are approaching their final stage.” he said.

In his speech at his party’s Mersin 8th Ordinary Provincial Congress, Erdoğan recalled the work aimed at dissolving the separatist terrorist organization PKK, delivering its weapons and dispersing its militants.

Stating that he is in favor of resolving the terrorism issue peacefully, Erdoğan said:

“The developments, which started when our People’s Alliance partner Mr. Bahçeli brought the issue to the agenda, are approaching their final stage. If the separatist organization listens to the leader’s call and does what is necessary, and if its political extension does its part, the winner will be the whole of Türkiye with its 81 provinces and 85 million individuals. If the organization refuses to comply with the call and its political extension tries to undermine it, we will solve the problem in its own way with the operations we have already carried out successfully. “Our preference is for this issue, which has caused our country to waste 40 years, tens of thousands of lives, and hundreds of billions of dollars of resources, to be safely, sincerely, permanently and definitively put into history.”

Independence Poet Mehmet Akif Ersoy: “If you are meek, who said, my docile sheep?” Recalling the lines “Maybe it will be cut, but my neck will not come to suffer”, Erdoğan said: “The scourge of separatist terrorism will be eliminated one way or another. Of course, our heroic martyrs are above all calculations. “As everyone follows, all work is carried out in a way that does not harm the cherished memories of our martyrs, the sensitivities of our martyrs’ relatives and veterans.” he said.

– “Türkiye Century has arrived on the road as a caravan”

President Erdoğan stated that every step taken both within the country, in the region, and in the world has a purpose, and said, “This is for our country to enter the Turkish Century as a state that is free from all the problems of the past, freed from its burdens, and uses its existing opportunities at the highest level, moving determinedly towards its goals. ” he said.

Pointing out that Turkey wants stability in its region, Erdogan continued as follows:

“We believe that now is the time to dream new dreams, implement new projects, say new things, take new steps. We want stability in the region, we want security, we want peace and prosperity. We, as Turks, Arabs and Kurds, want to win together and develop together. Our arms, our doors and our hearts are open to everyone who will walk this path with us. I’m sorry for those who have other plans in the back of their minds, they can’t make anyone else believe them anymore. They cannot deceive anyone, they cannot confuse anyone’s mind and heart. While the world order is being re-established politically and economically, no one will be able to keep Turkey out of it. The Century of Türkiye has arrived on the road as a caravan. Those who participate in this holy walk will participate in it, those who do not participate, may the path be clear. We will not stop, we will not rest, we will not look back until we raise our country to the level of the strongest states and our nation to the level of safe, peaceful and prosperous societies. We will continue our struggle until the end, always facing the future, the forward, the horizon.”
