Hope for the Future with Art and Tourism: An Obstacle-Free Journey for Earthquake-Stricken Children
The project successfully achieved this goal by aiming to meet 100 earthquake victims and children with special needs. Its aim was to beautify the future of children through art and tourism and to create a strong network of kindness in solidarity.
An Inspiring Project for Earthquake Victims and Children with Special Needs: 100 Children 100 Works 1 Documentary
The project, designed with a barrier-free tourism approach, allowed children in the region affected by the earthquake to express themselves through art. At the same time, the children enjoyed traveling beyond their cities and borders for the first time in their lives.

“From February to Hopes”: A Meaningful Meeting in Istanbul”
In the first two stages of the project, children participated in art, technology and fun-filled activities in Ankara and earthquake regions.
At the Istanbul Grand Meeting;
A feast full of hope was prepared for the children, with valuable contributions from each other. Earthquake victims and children with special needs and their families will meet in Istanbul not only with a city tour, but also with lots of love and solidarity. Earthquake-affected families who will come to Istanbul on December 6, during the World Disability Day week, will visit the “Own Works” exhibition of the children’s paintings in the first two stages, and will watch the first part of the special documentary prepared from the images and interviews taken during these tours, together with the guests who contributed to the success of the project. Berkan Çağlar Barikan, who directed the documentary titled “From February to Hope”, expressed his feelings about the project as follows:“It was an emotionally intense production process in which we focused on the subject matter rather than aesthetic concerns. But when you know what you are doing, difficulties don’t matter. The important thing was to unite with their voice. If this unity can turn into awareness, I will feel that we have reached the goal. Every success of the documentary belongs to our children. I can only say that I managed to unite with them to some extent.”
We will listen to the inspiring speech of Ufuk Koçak, World Freediving Record Holder, Psychological Counselor and Motivational Speaker, at the Grand Meeting Gala to be held on December 7th.He lost both of his legs by being buried under the rubble in the 1999 Gölcük Earthquake, and then overcame obstacles to his life and volunteered for a long time during the February earthquake to help the earthquake victims in the earthquake zone.
