Turkey hosted 2 million 47 thousand 27 foreign visitors in January 2024. Turkey, which closed 2023 with a 10% increase in tourism, experienced a 2.05 percent increase in the number of foreign visitors in January compared to the same month of the previous year.
RUSSIA IS IN THE FIRST PLACE
In the list of countries sending the most visitors to our country in January 2024, Russia ranked first with 11.26% (230 thousand 579 visitors), Iran ranked second with 10.35% (211 thousand 801 visitors), and Bulgaria ranked third with 7.93% (162 thousand 414 visitors). Bulgaria was followed by Germany and Georgia. Turkey reached a total of 56.7 million visitors and 54.3 billion dollars in revenue in 2023. Spending per person per night was 99 dollars.
